27.03.2007 Beijing.After one year design effort,xiaoyong's medal design for Beijing 2008 Olympics games was officially approved by IOC and released in Beijing.The design applied typical traditional elegent jade to be conbined with the madel.The purity and virtue of the sympolic icon,represent the fusion of rich chinese humanistic feature and culture to meet the dynamic Olympic spirits.

Trip to eastern China

Together with 15 students, a study trip to Jinan, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou was made through end of September, 2003. The study trip is part of the sudio study programme, meanwhile students can experience and explore local culture and traditions, and also the professional activities and targets.

In September, Xiaoyong was invited tolecture in Beijing Fashion Institute,
Shandong Academy of Art and Design in Jinan, Suzhou Design School in Suzhou.
Appointed by the Satmp Bureau, Xiao Yong is under designning a stamp serie for the state Post of China. More will be followed soon.
Xiao Yong was involved creating Anti-SARS Campaign, together with Beijing Design
Promotion Ognization. The Poster action is open to globle designers, and work will be shown on net, and prized works will be printed and donated to medical institutions.

Invited by Rockey Mountain College of Art and Design,Xiao Yong conducted a poster worshop on Conflict. 23 student joined the 5-day workshop.
Shen haopeng(Shanghai), Chen Fang(Shantou), XiaoYong(Beijing)'s 30 posters are in the show at RMCAD'sgallery in Denver through Jan.2003. As ContemporaryChinese Poster Exhibition, these poster are from thecollection of Colorado State University.

22-23.11.01Xiaoyong lectures at ADC presentation meeting in Jinmao Tower,Shanghai
Founded in 1918, CAFA (the Central Academy of Fine Arts) is one of the major art institutions in China.
In September 2001, the new campus of CAFA,with a land of 76,000 square meters in the first stage, was put into use.
In celeration of this event, the Forum of Universities and Art Academies---Facing the 21st Century: Art Education and Exchange towards Globalization held in the New Campus of CAFA from October 18-19.
Meanwhil, a joint performing programme was make by CCTV the National TV in the campus.
Invited by Zhejiang University, the largest university in China(40000 students) in Hangzhou, Xiao Yong held a 2-day weekend lectures on Oct. 13-14.
Through 09.13-10.06, Xiao Yong travel oveaseas for 25 days spanned over 48000km in the air. He attended ICOGARDA conference in Johnnersburge, South Africa, and AGI meeting held in Paris. On the way, he also visited friends in Koln and HongKong.
The Central Academy of Fine Arts started its autumn term in Sept. 07.
Students and teachers gathered in the newly-established campus attended the national flag raising ceremony.
